were?

For two years, the Frank family lives in this Secret Annex. Mr. and Mrs. van Daan and their son Peter  are also in hiding with the Franks. Later, Mr. Dussel  moves in, and Anne has to share her bedroom with him. Anne’s adolescence is spent hidden from the outside world. She’s cooped up in tiny rooms, tiptoeing around during the day and becoming shell-shocked from the sounds of bombs and gunfire at night.

Luckily, the Franks have tons of reading material and a radio. Anne grows in her knowledge of politics and literature, and she puts tons of energy into studying and writing. At the same time, she grows further and further away from the other members of the Annex.

We see a real change in Anne when she begins hanging out in the attic with Peter van Daan. Around this time she starts having dreams about a boy she was in love with, another Peter: Peter Schiff. She sometimes even gets the two Peters confused in her head.

"margot told me that the call up was not for father, but for her.and the second shock i began to cry"(frank,19)

how people can be so inhuman, how can it geat a 16 girls to a concentration camp?.is not just that Jews suffer like that, and they need to hiding for two years.i would that nothing would happened like that and that everything would be the same that was before.the family of anne are very intelligent for hiding.and they steal be together all the family and the friends .

but tanks goodness she won't be going; mother had said so herself which must be what father had meant when he talked to me about our going into hiding?(frank,18)

were they are going to hide?,in the city?,In the country? In a house?in a shack?when, where, how…?this are questions that i would like to know.they are very luke, not so much Jewess were so luke for hiding.but they are going to survive?i dot know mute yes maybe not or maybe the germans are going to find them.

i like so much this book.and i am only starting any have a lot of question.i what to steal reading in the school.but i have a question very important who and how they found the diary of anne?to the person who

founds the diary i would thank you because you found one of the most important documents and one of my favorites

hiding

As Jews in German occupied Holland, the Frank family fears for their lives. When Anne’s sister, Margot, is called to appear before the authorities which would almost surely mean she was being sent to a concentration camp Anne and her family go into hiding. They move into a little section of Anne's father's office building that is walled off and hidden behind a swinging bookcase. The little diagram of the office building and "Secret Annex" in the Thursday, July 9, 1942 entry gives us the layout.

" father has received a call up notice from the ss" i was stunned . a call up everyone knows what that means. visions of concentration camps and lonely cells raced through my head."(frank,18)

this quote surprise me alot. in my head i see how are the concentrations camps and how the poor people suffer a lot and especially the family of the ana frank.i would like to talk with the ss (germans soldiers) if they would like that they family were killed.i imagine how anne frank is very sad and concerned.

"a few days ago,as we were talking a stroll around our neighborhood square, father began to talk about going into hiding.he said it would be very hard for us to live cut off from the rest of the word.i asked him why he was bringing this up now".(frank,17)

It is not just that Jews suffer and that the Germans kill people .poor anne they need to hide for many years . and if I were anne i would not be the same girl with the smile.we are going to hiding the family of anne?if i were german i would help them and  I do not care what they do to me.i I wonder if the germans are not ashamed of what they do to the Jews.

every time that i red this chapter i what to steal reading more and more.is very long this book but the first chapter are so inter stings.i have a lot of questions to anne and to the family would like to meat them.i recommend this book to all the persons that like the history of the second war ann all this thing about the jewish and the germans soldiers

the diary of ananfrank

On her thirteenth birthday, Anne Frank’s parents give her a diary. She’s excited because she wants someone or something in which to confide all of her secret thoughts. Even though she has a rich social life, she feels misunderstood by everyone she knows. Anne starts writing about daily events, her thoughts, school grades, boys, all that. But, within a month, her entire life changes.

"After may 1940 the good times were dew and far between first there was the war, then the capitulation and then the arrival of the germans, which is when the trouble started for the jews."
i see how everything it going to change, Anna frank is a happy girl and how he describe what is happening is that something worong it going to happened.why in this quote it said that the troubles started for the jews.when i read about the jews and the second war 2 in this time is when the german are getting the jews to kill.so are going to kills anna frank and there family.

"our freedom was severely restricted by a series of anti-jewish decrees:newswire required to wear a yellow star"
the yellow start means a symbol of the nazis persecution.but why the germans were so bad with the jewish. what this quote means is that anna frank and his family is something wrong is going  happens. when anna frank mention this quote,se is referring that the germans are bad with the jewish and that they don't have freedom.

this book is one of my favorite ones,i see the movie but the book it very different and inserting.i what to know what is going to happened next.i like how anna frank is written everything is his diary like he is her best friend.i predict that something wrong it going to happened. ana frank describe very detail his thinking.

who is the man who rides past?

It's bedtime and Kirsti's having a hard time falling asleep so she asks Annemarie to tell her a fairy tale.Annemarie makes up a story about a princess living in a time without war. Sounds pretty nice.Annemarie remembers seeing the king out and about when she was young. Nothing wrong with a celebrity sighting, but the memory makes her think about her big sister, Lise, who died.she thinks about a story that her father told three years ago. In the story, a German soldier interrogated a little boy about the way in which King Christian moved freely around the city. The little boy responded that "All of Denmark is his bodyguard".The whole thing made Annemarie feel patriotic, and she talked with her parents about why King Christian allowed the German army to occupy Denmark. During this conversation, her sister was still alive, and their mother was in the process of making a trousseau for Lise.At that point, three years ago, the German army had successfully taken over countries that didn't resist, like Denmark, and even countries that did, like Norway. Annemarie's family talked about how one country, Sweden, remained outside of German control. And that's the end of Annemarie's memory. The situation in Europe now is pretty much the same as it was then. As her dad said, "Sweden is still free".Still lying in bed, Annemarie thinks about how much the Germans have changed everything around her. She tells the end of the princess story, even though Kirsti has fallen asleep.

"How the people of denmark loved king  Cristian we was not like fairy tale king, who seemed to stand on a balconie giving orders to subjects, or who sat on golden thrones demanding to be entertained and looking for suitable husband for their douther"

This qoute make me think alot,it seems to be that all the fairy tale are the perfect story but really they are? Not all the fairy tales are perfect or like in real life.when the girl are reading the story to her little sister it seems to be that he is tocking of the lider hitler. Like in the quote said stand on a balcon giving order is tocke of a king thet is  mean. Why the author write like this maybe he whant that wen think that he is tocking of hitler.if i can toke with hilter i would ask why he is so maen with the people.

"The whole world had changed only the fairy tales remained the same.
And they lived happily ever aferter annemarie recited whispering into the dark completing the tale for her sister, how slept besider her,one thumb in her mouth"

So how the whole world had changed only the fairy tales reminder the sames?I choice this quote because is interting how it said of the fairly tale.this book is to interting how the girls discrible in difrents word the germans people and they discribe with word that nothbady knows.the fairy tale not allway it said the true and alway is over with happily ever after why?

I like this capter alot beacuse i like the story that annemarie tale to her sister.it is very interting all about the germans soldiers. I what to keep reading more and more and asking questions becuse whent i read more this boke i still reading more.in predict that in the next chapter they are going to find a german sodier and they are gong to be friends but then the soldier diapers.

is the weather good for fishing?

Mr. and Mrs. Johansen, Annemarie, and Ellen try to strategize. After the soldiers' visit, they're all in danger, and they know it.Ellen apologizes for her hair color . and Mrs. Johansen mention Lise. Ellen and Annemarie can't go to school  it's not safe. Instead, Mrs. Johansen will "take the girls to Henrik's" . Although it seems riskier for Mr. Johansen to stay behind, they finally agree that it's actually a better way to keep them all protected. While Mrs. Johansen gets their stuff ready, Annemarie explains to Ellen that Henrik is her uncle on her mother's side.  . They have to be careful, even on the phone. So Ellen, Annemarie, Kirsti, and Mrs. Johansen take the train over to Henrik's. On the way, the girls enjoy looking at the scenerya nice break from all the scary stuff that's been going on.But sure enough, they're interrupted by a pair of soldiers who stop to ask the four travelers what they're doing. Mrs. Johansen says they are taking a trip to see her brother. The soldier asks if they are traveling because of the New Year, and Mrs. Johansen acts like she doesn't know what he's talking about.Yep, he's testing to see if they're Jewish.Kirsti speaks up, which freaks everyone out. Annemarie and her mother are worried Kirsti will spill the beans about what's really going on. But Kirsti just wants to talk about her shoes, and the soldiers seem charmed by her. Once again: .Finally the ride is over, and they get off the train. They decide to walk through the forest to Henrik's house. Along the way, they talk about all sorts of things, from castles to Mrs. Johansen's childhood dog that used to meet her after school. They eventually get close to Henrik's and Annemarie is allowed to go on beyond the others.

"It is much easier to be brave if you do not know everything".

What this quote means is that when Anne Marie finds out what is happening, it is much harder for her to be calm. She now has to worry about what will happen to her family and to her. Besides, she no longer feels safe as she had felt before, this is because she no longer has the confidence in herself to be calm or brave enough.

" The whole world had changed. Only the fairytales remained the same".

When Anne Marie mentions this quote, she is referring to everything she has been through. This happens when she is faced to the real world and to all the violence she is been exposed to. Because of this, her quote represents fading of hope and it is a clear symbolism of her thoughts towards her life experience and her new lifestyle.

i like this chapter alot because is a moment of happily, sadly, mysterus, and interting. every chapter it het more suspens.i like this book alot i know that in every blog i said the same but rally i looke.i predict that annemarie go to a dangerous mission.i am to steel reading to the end of the book but  we need to only do 5 blogs i could only tell to this part.i injoyed reading this book becuse i realy dont read but this book make me read and read.i recomend to all the person that like all this type of book i rally whant to read becuase if i injoyed another people would read too

it will be a long night ?

When Annemarie's mom brings Kirsti, the little girl is really upset because they bought her new shoes made out of fish skin . She's majorly embarrassed and doesn't want to wear them to school.Always thinking, Ellen offers a solution: her father has some ink they can use to paint the shoes and make them look less offensive. Kirsti calms down a bit at this suggestion, and she asks if she can be part of the doll game. The older girls include her, even though Annemarie isn't psyched about it. That's what we call a good big sister. Then Annemarie realizes Kirsti is thinking about a specific event: the night the Danes blew up their own ships so the Germans couldn't have them. Their mom had told Kirsti that the bombs were fireworks.Everyone in Annemarie's family who was old enough to understand what was really happening was really inspired by the Danes' action. Even just the memory makes Annemarie grow tired of the game they're playing.German soldiers have a plan to start rounding up all the Jewish people in Copenhagen and taking them somewhere else. The Danes don't understand exactly what this means, but they can tell it's really, really bad.Annemarie wants to help all the Rosens, not just Ellen, but her father says they have to do what they can. They couldn't help Ellen's parents, but Peter is helping them.Ellen is really upset, of course. Mr. Johansen tries to reassure her. He explains that they're going to hide Ellen in plain sight by pretending that she's another child in the Johansen family. So that's the plan. And with that, it's time for bed.

"the germans occupation forces had burned part of it, perhaps as a way of punishing the fun loving danes for their lighthearted pleasures"

why the germans are like that,is something wrong.when i see this quote i think in all the poor jewis how they can resist all the thing that the germans do for them.if i would be a germans i could do what they doo. i wish that nofing of this war it could happend. why hitler was to crazy to kill people jewis were like normal person.

"the next evening newspaper had told the sad truth.the danes has destroyed their own naval fleet ,blowing up the vessel one by one, as the germans approached to take over the ships for their own use"

i only have a question on this quote why people has so much violence?why we can not have war in the world and b happy ever after?it we dont have war alot of people would dont died.and their would still with ther family.the germans we a very problem people they thiink that they are the only powerfull contry but really was nesessy to kill to much people?why they take over the ship for their own use?

i like ths chapter a lot it is intersting how the girls discribe the germands treat to the jewis.the nazis wont stop .the jews of denmark are begin "relocated".i predict that ellen moves in with the Johansens and pretend that is of the family.each time is more interting the story i would recomend to all the persons that like all the thing of the jews and the second war 2.i whant to steel reaing more and more and asking more questions.

Where is Mrs Hirsch?

Annemarie and Kirsti are getting ready to go to school, and Annemarie gets all nostalgic with her mom about the sleeping arrangements they used to have.Their mother sees that one of Kirsti's coat buttons has busted, so she tells Annemarie to go to the button store later that day and get a new one.So when classes are finished, Annemarie, Ellen, and Kirsti head to the button store, which is run by Mrs. Hirsch. But they can't get in—the store's closed. As they head home, the girls try to figure out what has happened. The Hirsches are nice people.Kirsti thinks they must have just taken a vacation .When Annemarie tells her mother what happened, Mama gets really upset and leaves to find Ellen's mother.some news: the Germans are starting to treat Jewish people pretty badly. They're the ones who decreed that stores like the Hirsches' should be shut down.Annemarie hadn't even realized the Hirsches were Jewish. And she sure doesn't understand why the Germans are punishing them. But her mom says that the Hirsches' friends will step up to help. That's when Annemarie asks about her best friend Ellen's family, and her father tells her that they'll have to be very careful. Annemarie thinks of the bodyguard story her father told her and says that the Danes have to protect the Jews just like they would protect the king.  Annemarie tries to go back to sleep. But all she can think about is how the Danes will be required to protect all the Jews, not just the king. It's a pretty scary thing to think about.

"Annemarie" he said "peter tells us that the germans have issued order closing many stores run by jews"

i put this quote because is intersting how people can be so bad.when they talk about jews i think what is wrong with this people.they do something wrong.they are bad persons.put really i dont know but when i still Redding this book the germans are very bad with the jews people.i can think how people can treat to bad to another people.

"jews" Annemarie repeated "It Mrs Hirsch jewish it that why the buton shop is closed why have the done that"
peter leaned forward. "it is their way of tormenting.for some reason, they whant to torment jewish people".

wow i am very ipresting how people can be so dum,i like this quote because it see how some germans people were good with jews.but no all the germans were good because another germans they were very bad.but only 1 person do all this and in was the lider of german his name was hitler.hitler was one of the most power full human of that time. his order was to kill all jewis because he think that they were very bad persons but really they were not.

i like so much readying this book is one of my favorite. i am in the chapter 3 and i can stop reading and i have so many questions so i whant to stell reading.i predict that the girls are going with the jewis to save all there friend but they are going to kill this girls.if i would be the girls i would investigate what the germans are bad with jewis. i am so happy reading this book .

why are you running ?

When the book begins, in the first chapter Annemarie and her BFF, Ellen, are on their way home from school in Copenhagen. They decide to run a race. Annemarie’s little sister, Kristi, is with them. The two older girls race ahead, but their run to short when they encounter two soldiers. Turns out the soldiers are Germans—Nazis. The Germans have occupied Denmark for three years at this point. The soldiers have a bunch of questions for the girls, and Annemarie tries to take the lead. She and Ellen are scared, but little Kristi doesn't seem to be. Luckily, the soldiers think Kristi is cute and so let the three girls continue on their way, telling them that they shouldn't run. These soldiers are all over Denmark. At home, Annemarie and Ellen say goodbye to each other while Kristi heads inside. The two girls decide that they'll keep their little encounter with the soldiers a secret. But when Annemarie goes into her apartment, she realizes that Kristi has already spilled the beans. Ah, little sisters. The two mothers of the girls are very worried. Ellen’s mom tells Annemarie that they have to be extra careful. Spooky. Annemarie and Kristi’s mom tells them they can have a snack, but their choices are limited because of the occupation by the soldiers. They don't have butter, sugar, or coffee.

"she is pretty, like my own littl girl,"said the soldier in a more pleasant voice.
annemarietried to smiled politely.(5)

I find it interesting as the soldier said that to girls. Everybody thought that the soldiers had no feelings and why they killed innocent people. But the truth soldiers were human like everyone else. As this quote says the soldier has families and they may not want to kill people but they forced. I would want to know what the soldiers think about killing people.

"the copenhagen neighborhood was quiet it looked the same as always people coming and goign from the shops, children at play, the soldiers on the corner."

this quote is intersting because is in the time of the second war 2.this quote make me think about that ege.how hitler cotrol everything and how 1 person has alot of power. the mothers spend deciding on the perfect and precise word used to dicribed how they feel about the soldiers.why the soldirs are in each corner?,it something wrong?

I predict that the soldiers are going to be friend of this girls, and the girls are going to scape of the school, and they would go and spy to the soldiers.they  wouls see hoew the jweiw people are in the camps. what i read of the book is very intersting.i like old the book that are about the second war.i like all the history about this book.i whant to steal reading about it.
